Danang Railway Station to Da Nang City Centre by Minivan

If you’re travelling solo or with just one other person, it’s best to take a minivan from Danang Railway Station to Da Nang City Centre to Hoi An or vice versa. Rates start from 155,000 VND ($5.90) for the 45m journey.

Book your minivan ride beforehand so that you won’t have to worry about it on the day of your trip. Keep in mind that van departures are once every hour or every 2 hours. Pick a schedule that’s closest to your train arrival/departure.

If the minivan schedules are too inconvenient for you, you can instead book a private transfer.

Hoi An Express, Barri Ann Travel and iHome Transfer all offer pick-up and drop-off at Danang Railway Station to Da Nang City Centre.

Danang Railway Station to Da Nang City Centre by Bus

The local bus used to be the cheapest option when travelling between Da Nang and Hoi An. But the last time we checked (November 2024), this is no longer available.

Some travellers still try to look for these local buses, though. Unfortunately, there are drivers who try to take advantage of this by offering overpriced taxis. This is why we highly advise that you book a minivan or private transfer beforehand (see the above sections for more info).

If any driver tries to approach you at the train station, you can tell them you already booked a ride and head straight to your meet-up point.

Public Bus #1 (Not available as of November 2024)

Public Bus #1 was a cheap way to get from Da Nang Airport to Hoi An and vice versa. A ticket used to cost only 20,000 VND ($0.80) for the ride that takes about 1 hour — affordable, but not quite comfortable. An extra seat was required for those carrying bulky luggage. Bus drivers often tried to overcharge tourists, too.

Departure station

The nearest public bus stop to Danang Railway Station to Da Nang City Centre was at 155 Le Duan Road. That’s 750 m away or a 10-minute walk.

Once outside the train station, turn left and walk until you reach the corner, and then turn right. Walk straight for a few minutes until you reach the main road and then turn left. From here, it’s a 500 m walk to the bus stop.

Arrival station

Bus #1 used to park at Hoi An Bus Station, 2 km away from the Old Town. You could get to your accommodation via a 5-minute taxi or a 20-minute walk.
