Mui Ne

Mui Ne is a coastal town and traditional fishing village on Vietnam’s southeast coast. It is famous for its red and white sand dunes, spread out just beside soft sand beaches and lush trees.

Wind conditions are perfect on this side of the country, so kitesurfing is popular from October to April in Mui Ne. Other exciting activities include sailing, windsurfing, sandboarding, and quad biking on the sand dunes.

Discover Mui Ne

Mui Ne is a popular beach destination and is one of the best spots for wind and kite surfers in Asia. When you are not so much into wind or kite surfing, you can relax on the beach or explore the enormous red sand dunes and fairy springs.

Keep in mind that Mui Ne is known for windsurfing so don't expect to spend your day on a windless beach.

Mui Ne - VietnamAlso worth mentioning is that the beaches have started to suffer from erosion in the last few years. The soft sand beach is slowly being replaced by a reef. You can still find several nice strokes of sandy beaches, but many people choose to stay in one of the large resorts with their own swimming pools.

When you stay in Mui Ne, make sure you visit the large Food Court on the main street. Here you can try out countless delicious dishes from all over the world.

Note that Mui Ne has become very popular with Russian tourists, so don't be surprised to see even the menus translated into the Russian language.

When you are looking for a more authentic experience, consider staying in Quy Nhon instead of Mui Ne. In Quy Nhon, you will find very nice beaches and friendly locals will greet you with a big smile!
