Most of the ferry services from Naples to Capri are available all year round from morning to afternoon. In summer (June to August), more trips are usually added to accommodate the influx of tourists.

Departure and arrival station

All high-speed ferries depart from Naples (Molo Immacolatella Vecchia) in the city centre. There are many ports here, so it’s best to arrive early to make sure that you get to the correct pier for the ferries bound for Capri.

Booking Tip

You can buy your tickets directly at the pier. But if you’re travelling in the busy seasons (April to June & September to October), then we highly recommend purchasing your tickets online prior to your trip.

Note that the waters between Naples and Capri can get rough during winter (November to March). High-speed ferry trips are normally suspended, but regular ferries continue operating unless the weather gets really bad.

Taking a vehicle to Capri?

Although Capri town is closed off to traffic for most of the year, a scooter can be very handy when exploring the rest of the island, particularly its lovely beaches.

There are already several agencies offering scooter rental on the island. You’ll find them as soon as you arrive at Capri Ferry Terminal.

Are you planning on bringing a scooter you rented from Naples? This is also possible, but only in the winter months (November to March). During the high season, only Capri residents are allowed to bring vehicles to the island.
