Several companies operate direct ferries from Siquijor to Dumaguete. These are Aleson Shipping, Montenegro Lines Dumaguete and OceanJet.

Travel time takes between 45m - 1h 30m, depending on the ferry company.

Ferry ticket prices from Siquijor to Dumaguete start from $5 (320 PHP) if you go with a slower car ferry. If you want to get to Dumaguete faster, take OceanJet with fares starting from $7.20 (460 PHP). It’s more expensive, but it gets you there in just 1 hour.

You’ll also need to pay an additional terminal fee of $0.40 (25 PHP) in Siquijor.

Departure ports

Depending on where you’re staying in Siquijor, you can choose between two departure points: Siquijor Pier and Larena Port. If you’re coming from San Juan, it’s better to use Siquijor Pier because it’s closer and there are more ferry trips from this port.

For your transfer, you can take a tricycle starting at $4.70 (300 PHP) to Siquijor Port and $7.90 (500 PHP) to Larena Pier. You can also check with your resort to see if they offer a cheaper or even free transfer.

You can buy your tickets at the port. But if you’re travelling on a weekend or in summer, we highly recommend booking online via BookAway to secure your seat. It might cost a bit more, but it can save you a lot of time.

Aleson Shipping isn't always available to book online. If you don’t see them listed on your preferred travel date, you can still buy their tickets at the pier, usually at a slightly cheaper price. For inquiries, you can contact them beforehand through their Facebook page.

TOP TIP: Ferry schedules and rates change frequently. We recommend arriving at the port early to avoid any hassle on the day of your departure. Better yet, confirm the ferry schedules for Dumaguete upon your arrival in Siquijor.

Arrival port

Ferries dock at Dumaguete Port. From here, you can get to your hotel in the town centre for $0.40 (25 PHP)/passenger, with an additional cost for luggage.

If you’re headed for Dumaguete-Sibulan Airport, tricycle fare starts at $3.20 (200 PHP).

Hi Francisco, we can confirm that the Oceanjet ferry schedules are valid until February 2024, based on their BookAway (bookaway.com) listing. You can book your tickets with Oceanjet as early as now.

However, we cannot say the same for Montenegro and Aleson Shipping Lines. Their schedules have been changing frequently, especially since the pandemic. Also for these two companies, you can only book your tickets at the port on the day of your trip. We hope this helps you plan your trip. Safe travels!
