There are four main ferry operators on this route. Alilauro offers year-round trips, while NLG (Navigazione Libera Del Golfo) and SNAV operate only during the summer.

The towns of Capri and Anacapri are closed off to traffic for most of the year, but the rest of the island is not. Having a scooter can be useful when travelling between these two destinations and exploring the island’s many beaches.
Scooter rental agencies are available on the island, particularly at Marina Grande. All ferries dock here, so you can see them as soon as you arrive in Capri.
If you want to bring a scooter that you rented from Sorrento, you can also do so by taking a Caremar car ferry. Rates for a passenger with a scooter from Sorrento to Capri start from €33 ($39). Travel time is around 20-30m.
